Estimates, not engineering
MeasureQuik calculators produce material estimates for planning purposes. They are not a substitute for professional engineering, architectural advice, or local building codes. Site conditions, product variations, and code requirements vary — verify quantities with your supplier and requirements with your local building department before ordering or building.

Digging, utilities, and permits
Several calculators involve work that breaks ground — post holes, footings, deck piers, fence lines. Always call 811 (or your local utility locating service) before you dig, and confirm permit requirements with your local building department. Struck utility lines are dangerous and expensive, and locating is free.
